Biography

Bio

I have been doing art for as long as I can remember. I am a member of a very artistic family, ranging from painting, drawing, photography, cinematography to sculpting. I grew up on a small hobby farm in Plymouth, Minnesota surrounded by magnificent nature that inspired me to make art every single day.  I have also been around horses my whole life and I try to capture their magical unique personalities and elegance in every painting/drawing I do. I am fascinated by horses because of how they are such strong and powerful creatures, yet they choose to be caring and gentle. My love for nature and animals of all kinds gleams through in all of my works. I prefer to work with acrylic paint, although I have attempted a variety of mediums. The artists that inspire me most are Marcia Baldwin and my grandmother, Kayleen Ed. If it wasn't for Kayleen supporting me and encouraging me, I would not be the artist I am today. I also would not be in this place if it wasn't for my aunt, Corinne Lettau who introduced me to horses at a very young age, and my parents, Laura and Brett Kohler, who support me immensely with my art.

5% of my profits go towards wildlife organizations like World Wildlife Fund, Green Peace and The Nature Conservancy to protect the things on this planet that inspire me most. Once 5% is taken off, half of the remaining amount goes into a savings account for college. I plan to study in the field of science, something related to biology and chemistry.
